The couple who
commissioned this mahogany drop-leaf dining
table came to Bill with pictures of a
general idea of what they wanted. Their
discussion with him produced exact
dimensions and style. The gate legs swing
out to support the leaves, and the rule
joint is both functional and pleasing to
look at. Bill likes the efficient use of
space: the table is six feet long by two
feet wide when folded down, and six feet
long by five feet wide with the leaves
up.
