Bill made the pieces you see here to meet the specific needs of the people who now own them. When you click on each one to see its individual story and visual detail, you can see the difference that his attention to detail makes. Bill personally selects the wood he uses, paying particular attention to width, grain pattern, and consistency of color. Also, he insists on French-polishing, a painstaking hand-rubbed finishing technique used by top 18th- and 19th-century cabinetmakers to showcase the true beauty of the wood. The William Evans piece you order for yourself may be an original or a reproduction of something you’ve admired. Either way, it will be made by hand just for you. Just let him know when you’re ready to talk.
